My son has adhd and is on 36mgs per day and has become very moody and voilent ,living in a rural area leaves me with no one to ask right now,i would like to start taking him of them now does anyone have any experience with this.

Hi,can you just stop taking strattera or do you have to come of slowly,

Is it a medication that he needs to take every day? If so, then I would think you need to wean him off. Ask your pediatrician to be sure. My son is on Aderrall and it is something he takes on a per needed basis so we do not give it to him on the weekends etc. You do not have to wean off of stimulant meds as they leave your system between 8-12 hrs.
